Child Friendly Site
The site is a comfortable, private, child-friendly setting that is physically and psychologically safe for children and their non-offending family members.
Videotaped Forensic Interviews
Law Enforcement and Child protective services have joined together to investigate cases of abuse.
Forensic Medical Exams
Children who have experienced abuse can receive a child-sensitive, non-invasive medical exam to collect evidence and safeguard the child’s health.
Crisis Intervention
Therapy and Support Groups
Mental health professionals are available to support the abused child and their family while they progress through the healing process.
Parent Support
Child Support & Advocacy
Advocates provide support to abused children and their families to negotiate the systems involved with investigation, prosecution and follow-up services.
Case Tracking
Data is collected through a comprehensive database that provides and accurate profile of child abuse victims and tracks information on child abuse cases from initial disclosure through adjudication
Community Awareness and Prevention
The site works to increase community awareness and understanding of child abuse as to the extent of abuse in our community and the services available to respond to and prevent abuse.
Multidisciplinary Case Staffings
Professionals involved in child abuse cases come together bi-weekly to discuss best practices and work to reduce the trauma to child abuse victims and their non-offending family in the aftermath of abuse disclosure
